If you’ve been here since the beginning you’ve been with me for a few years now and a few different newsletter names. I’ve been writing somewhat consistently on the internet for a while now, but it's never felt quite right.
It's like sailing a boat incorrectly. The sails might be flapping around or the lines may swing chaotically, the boat is moving but everything feels off.
In the last few years I've written lengthy essays, newsletters, joined writing cohorts, written some fiction, but somehow, I've never learned how to sail the damn boat well.
I recently signed up for a writing group called Ship 30 for 30. The entire goal is to write 30 short posts and post them daily for 30 days - though technically this newsletter is my second piece of content today ;)
I'm more experience than most writers taking the course, but I’m ready to explore a wider variety of writing topics to hone my skills, get my twitter game under control, drive the habit home, and hone my skills.
Just like sailing, usually it’s just a few minor adjustments, trim the sails just right, and the boat sails gracefully. I’m hoping for the same with my writing.
Here’s a fiction one I’m proud of, tweet here

🥽 New VR game looks amazing!
This game looks crazy good and has “overwhelmingly positive” reviews on Steam:
🎮 Will generative AI make video games?
a16Z seems to think so.
I’ve also written a bit about this in one of my earlier fiction shorts as a minor plot point for one of the characters, check that out here:
The whole rundown from a16z is worth a quick skim
🌙 Going to the moon again
Not too long ago Biden announced some additional funding for moon projects for NASA.
Recently NASA announced the crew of Artemis II for an upcoming manned mission around the dark side of the moon.
They won’t land, but it’s the first time astronauts will leave earth’s orbit in about 50 years, quite a long time!
Someday we’ll chill out on a moon vacation, that’ll be the day!
Till next time, Daniel out
